Yes. University is completely different to school, in the sense that you have much more freedom to manage your own time and learning.
As military experience qualifies you for entry to the MAPP, you don’t need to worry if you haven’t had any prior study experience. The MAPP recognises that veterans have many transferrable skills that are key to university study and the program has been designed taking this into account.
University is a very supportive environment. The MAPP will provide you with introductions to support services, as well as links to the Australian Student Veterans Association (Flinders Chapter), which provides veterans with a supportive community of likeminded students.
The supportive structure of the MAPP is the reason that 100% of veterans surveyed said they felt more confident to start studying after completing the program.
