Give in celebration or in memory

Celebration gifts are a great way to recognise a special occasion with a practical tribute. Donations to celebrate special occasions, such as a birthday, anniversary, Christmas or graduations, are an investment into education, and will make an immediate difference to a Flinders student, researcher or program.

A beautiful way to remember the life of a loved one or friend is to make a gift to Flinders in lieu of flowers. Many families choose to include a request for donations in their funeral announcements or at the funeral service.

Indigenous Students Medical Book Fund

The Murchland Family set up the fund, which subsidises the cost of medical books for Indigenous students studying at Flinders.

Lindon Wing Research Fund

Fostering innovations in clinical science through collaborative research between SA Health and Flinders University.

James Moore Memorial Fund in Palaeontology

James devoted his university study to learning about remains of prehistoric creatures in the Flinders University Palaeontology Laboratory. He became hooked on fossils as a high-school student when participated in Flinders palaeontology expeditions to collect the bones of ancient megafauna.

Allen Bolaffi Future Fund

Allen Bolaffi was a well-known and highly respected businessman. His contribution to, enthusiastic support and backing of innovative start-up enterprises was a defining aspect of his activity in the business community within Australia and beyond.

Dr Lesley Shorne Memorial Scholarship

For over 25 years, Flinders University medical graduate and health professional, Dr Lesley Shorne worked tirelessly to advance women’s health. To continue her life’s work, Dr Shorne's family chose to create a scholarship in her memory.
