“If you’re someone who wants to obtain a highly-recognised degree with numerous opportunities for personal and career development in a large open campus with a picturesque ecosystem, then you’d find Flinders as the perfect fit.
Each lecturer has years of experience and publications under their belt – which makes the content they provide all the more exciting. In addition to having a long-standing medical program, the medical school itself is attached to the Flinders Medical Centre which provides ample opportunity for medical students to observe what they learn in practice and provide exposure to understand how theory in lectures actually translates to laboratory investigations.”

“What really attracted me to Flinders was that the College Public Health and Medicine is located right in Flinders Medical Centre.
Right from the start of the semester, students are exposed to the clinical aspect of medicine. It has been so inspiring as a first-year medical student to be able to talk to patients and witness health professionals at work. I have found the staff and students at Flinders to be very warm and genuine. Flinders works hard at making sure international students are connected. The International Student Services team is welcoming and always open to listening to our thoughts and concerns.”

“Learning in the Doctor of Medicine Program has been a wonderful and enlightening experience so far. Flinders was the right choice for me since it has a very supportive team dedicated to international students.
I find that by applying medical knowledge in actual hospital settings and with actual patients, it helps me consolidate my knowledge and skills. My experiences so far have allowed me to train various skills which are needed as a medical intern upon graduation – Flinders stands out as it ranks No.1 in Australia for full-time employment in medicine.”

“The medical school is next to the Flinders Medical Centre, which means we have easy access to all the university teaching facilities and support services during clinical placements.
I was grateful lectures were delivered by clinicians who worked day in and day out in the relevant medical areas. The clinical placements in both urban and rural areas are the highlights of my degree. They give me the opportunity to work with and learn from my future colleagues, and to familiarise myself with professional standards and future employers. These placements have well prepared me for the transition from a medical student to a future doctor.”

“Studying at Flinders has been the best decision I’ve ever made because they are very welcoming of international students.
All the lecturers are very approachable and friendly. The location is very pleasing to the eye with the never-ending greenery, and nothing can beat the view of the sea from the campus. It’s full of quiet and peaceful places to study. It was easy to settle in here because of the diversity – I’ve encountered so many people from different countries, which helps you feel secure because you are not alone.”
