How it works
Students studying at Flinders University can take advantage of some flexible pathways for entry to Medicine and a number of health professional degrees at Flinders.
These pathways may provide:
- reserved places which give you a greater opportunity of gaining a place in your chosen degree; or
- the opportunity to study the pre-requisite topics which you need to apply for a place at second or third year level in your chosen degree.
Reserved places
Pathway to graduate entry Medicine
Flinders has more opportunities for students to study graduate entry Medicine.
Up to 75 percent of places are reserved for Flinders graduates. These pathway places are reserved as follows:
- up to 25 places for students completing the Bachelor of Health Sciences, Bachelor of Medical Science, Bachelor of Science (Biotechnology) - medical biotechnology stream and the Bachelor of Paramedic Science and
- up to 33 places for graduates of any Flinders undergraduate or postgraduate course.
Pathway to Health professional programs
Places are reserved in a number of professional programs for graduates of Bachelor of Health Sciences and the Bachelor of Medical Science. These reserved places will give you a greater opportunity to gain a postgraduate place in the following fields of study:
- Audiology (up to 4 reserved places)
- Speech Pathology (up to 4 reserved places).
Undergraduate transfer
The Bachelor of Health Sciences or the Bachelor of Medical Science can provide you with the opportunity to study all of the topics required to apply for a place in the second or third year of your chosen degree.
