If you’re an educator or want to make an impact on the sector, a Graduate Certificate in Student Inclusion will give you the skills and knowledge to better understand diverse students, their learning needs, and how to modify curriculum, environments, and social interactions to better support them.

Take your learnings back to your workplace, or take the first step towards further study – this certificate will give you credit for your studies towards our Master of Inclusive and Specialised Education, or Master of Education.

Master of Inclusive & Specialised Education

*All Graduate Certificates articulate into the Master of Education. However, the Graduate Certificate in Education Research, Graduate Certificate in Autism and Complex Disabilities and Graduate Certificate in Student Inclusion are ESSENTIAL for articulating into the Master of Inclusive and Specialised Education.

^ Additionally, the Graduate Certificate in Education Research is a core minor for both of the Masters programs.

What you will study

This course will deepen your understanding of inclusion.

You will synthesise knowledge of inclusive education practices to be applied in diverse contexts; analyse and apply key philosophies, principles and practices of inclusive education; and investigate your own practices, identifying opportunities to apply inclusive approaches to enhance quality of learning and engagement for all students.

You’ll study topics including:

Schoolwide Positive Behaviour Support
Educational Planning and Assessment for Students with Diverse Learning Needs
Differentiation and Inclusive Educational Practices.
