This VET pathway degree is especially designed for applicants who have completed a VET Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Management, Business, Government or in related areas.

Developed in consultation with senior public-sector leaders, this degree will equip you to understand the dynamics of public policy and management by studying how policy shapes the world we live in. You will gain an advanced understanding of the values and processes of governance, the roles of the public sector, policy analysis, and the management of organisations, programs, resources and people.

What you will study

Students in the VET pathway will study core topics in business, accounting, the economy, democracy and government, political ideas and public policy.

A choice of electives is included in the year 1 program and public policy sequence topics are available in years 1, 2 and 3.

Practical experience

The degree provides you with practical experience that prepares you for the workforce.

Experience South Australian politics first-hand through the South Australian Parliamentary Internship, which has been operating at Flinders for over 10 years and has seen more than 50 students participate. We also offer other internship and placement opportunities including the South Australian Government Cabinet Office Internship.
