Applicants will also be required to attend an audition, and if applicable, a call-back audition.
Auditions and call-backs will be held at Flinders University Drama Centre, Bedford Park, South Australia.
Auditions will be held from Monday 8 – Friday 12 December 2025, and interviews on Saturday 13 December. This means, to be considered for a selection, acting applicants must be available one of December 8, 9, 10 or 11 for audition; December 12 for a call-back (if selected), and December 13 for an interview.

Lecturer
Dr Renato Musolino
Renato Musolino is one of South Australia’s most respected, experienced, and acclaimed actors and actor trainers. He has worked nationally and internationally with leading companies including State Theatre Company South Australia, Sydney Theatre Company and Belvoir Theatre. He specialises in Laban Movement Analysis, movement for actors, psycho-physical acting, devising, improvisation, directing as well as text/scene work and has made significant contributions to the development of the Bachelor of Creative Arts (Drama) curriculum, along with the Drama Well-being and Welfare protocols.
Lecturer
Dr Tiffany Lyndall-Knight
Tiffany is an actor, director, and teaching artist. She has performed with theatre companies across Australia and Canada, including State Theatre Company South Australia, Queensland Theatre, and eight seasons with Bard on the Beach Shakespeare Festival. On screen she has been in projects including Battlestar Galactica, Stargate SG-1, Wanted, and A Sunburnt Christmas, which she dramaturged. Tiffany has worked as a teaching artist with the University of Adelaide, Adelaide College of the Arts, and the University of British Columbia. She also works as a dialect and voice coach with clients and companies including State Theatre Company South Australia, STAN, and Netflix.
Lecturer
Dr Christopher Hurrell
Christopher is the Drama Centre Manager. He is a stage director and dramaturg who has worked nationally and internationally in the areas of new writing, Shakespeare and musical theatre. He has developed and directed numerous new Australian plays with writers such as Debra Oswald, Stephen Sewell, Caleb Lewis and Justin Fleming. Christopher has directed many of Australia’s finest actors of stage and screen, including Rebel Wilson, and AFI Award winners Nicholas Eadie and Victoria Longley. He has directed and trained acting students at institutions such as NIDA, the Rose Bruford College, Anglia Ruskin University and La Salle College of the Arts.

If you don’t meet our English language entry requirements and need to improve your English language proficiency, you can do so through Flinders University Academy – or our approved English Language Instruction Course for Overseas Students (ELICOS) providers.
This means that you can attend the required English language tuition at approved ELICOS providers and gain direct entry into university without an IELTS or TOEFL test.

To become an actor, you need to develop your skills through training, practice and performance. Studying at Flinders Drama Centre will help you develop these skills with its professional, innovative curriculum. Our acting degree offers specialised classes in voice, movement and acting for live and digital spaces, preparing you for the demands of the modern industry. You’ll explore acting theory, work in ensemble productions, and learn directly from industry professionals, helping you transition into a career on stage or screen.
Along with your SATAC application you will need to submit a supporting statement, CV and headshot of yourself. You will then be invited to attend an audition. For further information, download the additional application requirements and recommended audition monologues.
