Join the Inspire Mentor Program
Connecting primary and secondary students with trusted mentors
The Inspire Mentor Program connects primary and secondary students with mentors who empower mentees to consider higher education as an option for their future.
Our mentors are reliable role models who support engagement in learning, social and emotional wellbeing and academia.
Inspire Mentor Program has collaborated with up to 100 schools (metro and regional SA), FLO sites and community organisations.
The Inspire Mentor Program was amazing to our year 10 aboriginal student. I literally watched this student blossom and grow in confidence over the course of the year, and I believe that happened as a result of spending time with her mentor. Other teachers have noted how much she grew in her confidence as well.
The Inspire Mentor program has been a fantastic support to our school. The mentors are helpful to teachers by providing support to individuals, or groups of students, in a range of different subject areas and social skills. They provide inspiration to the students they work with by sharing their journey to higher education and their aspirations once they have completed their studies. I would highly recommend the program to schools and teachers…
There are some essential commitments required from any school site or community organisation that would like to host Inspire mentors. The Inspire Mentor Program team asks that schools provide:
Commitment to mentoring from leadership and support staff.
School leadership support to promote the program with students, parent and staff.
Support for students to be absent from lessons to attend weekly sessions.
Feedback for program evaluation and review.
Space for mentoring to take place.
