Flinders University’s Prescribing for Midwives course is accredited by the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Accreditation Council (ANMAC).
Domestic students with a current registration certificate who successfully complete the two topics and meet eligibility criteria may apply to the National Midwifery Board of Australia for endorsement for scheduled medicines for midwives without having to complete the full graduate certificate.
With online delivery, the two topics can be completed in one semester.
Registered midwives who undertake the Prescribing for Midwives course become ‘non-award’ students.

Once completed, send the form and attached documentation by email to askflinders@flinders.edu.au.
If your application is approved, you will receive an email with detailed instructions on how to access your Flinders account and enrol.

Please submit your application at least two weeks prior to the start date of the topic. Applications are accepted until the last day to enrol in topics, however approval is at the discretion of the College.
Payment is required upfront by the due date of the applicable semester. The payment amount is at least equal to the highest student contribution amount rate (for undergraduate topics) or the postgraduate coursework tuition fee rate (for postgraduate topics).

If you apply late, it will be your responsibility to learn outstanding topic content and complete any due assessment.
