The Master of Business Administration (Human Resource Management) builds foundational leadership, management, and business skills combined with core people management skills in areas like unconscious bias, emotional intelligence, project management fundamentals and more.
The MBA (HRM) is designed for the future, with sustainability built in. This means you will learn how to apply artificial intelligence and understand its impact on the future of job design. This MBA course has industry engagement embedded, with a total of up to 36 weeks of experience available through Work Integrated Learning and industry programs.
Human resource managers and people manager jobs are required across almost every sector. They plan, organise, direct, control and coordinate the human resource and workplace relations activities within organisations.

What you will study
The Graduate Certificate, Graduate Diploma and MBA courses provide a structured pathway containing 16 topics. There is flexibility in the course but generally students undertake 8 business and management topics, four elective topics and four topics relevant to human resource management.
First year (and the Graduate Diploma) contains study in marketing, economics, finance, ethics, sustainability, and the law. Second year introduces human resources topics including building teams and networks, advanced recruitment and managing negotiations.
You can also choose an industry placement instead of one core topic. And you could also extend your industry exposure by electing to undertake an industry entrepreneurial program: FOMENT (the wine, viticulture and tourism program), or the IMA (Innovative Manufacturing Accelerator).
You will also undertake a major industry project which will bring together everything you have learnt over the course and put it into practice.

- have at least one years' experience in a related context or two years' experience in a non-related field.
Graduate Diploma

- hold a degree or equivalent qualification OR
- hold the Flinders University Graduate Certificate in Business Administration.
Master
Applicants must either hold a bachelor degree or equivalent qualification; or hold the Graduate Diploma in Business Administration from Flinders University or equivalent qualification.
