Why study Psychological Studies at Flinders
Graduates are expected to find jobs in areas such as youth work, advertising and marketing, policy and research, consumer research, industrial relations, human resources, program coordination and welfare.
This program is accredited by the Australian Psychology Accreditation Council.
The program develops knowledge of psychological theory and research regarding the factors influencing human behaviour and experience, and provides skills for the application of this knowledge to issues in the real world. You will undertake a core set of studies covering such fields as learning, motivation, personality, development across the lifespan, group processes, and biological and social influences on behaviour.
Applicants must hold a bachelor degree or equivalent qualification, other than an Australian accredited degree in psychology. They must also meet the subject prerequisites for second-year psychology topics by having completed one of the following:
It is also suitable for graduates who completed a psychology major that is not accredited in Australia, or for those who completed a psychology major in Australia at least three or more years ago and who wish to update their psychology qualification.
Conditional offers are issued to applicants who do not meet the topic pre-requisites, requiring them to successfully complete a Qualifying Topic (QT) to be able to commence the Bachelor of Psychological Studies (Graduate Entry). The QT is a web-based course that can be completed externally.

They must also meet the subject prerequisites for second year psychology topics by having completed equivalent entry level psychology topics from Flinders University or from an approved institution, or by completing a qualifying topic. The qualifying topic is a web-based course that can be completed off-campus and is designed for applicants who have not met the subject prerequisites of the course.
