What you will study

This degree provides a firm foundation in the basic principles and techniques of modern mathematics, and an understanding of how mathematics is applied. Mathematics is widely used not only in science, engineering and technology, in estimating, modelling and forecasting, but in other professions such as computer graphics, finance, economics, insurance and linguistics. It is an essential component of a modern economy, and underpins many essential disciplines including biostatistics, epidemiology and econometrics.
