This course is accredited by Engineers Australia at the level of professional engineer. Professional engineering courses accredited by Engineers Australia are recognised internationally under the Washington Accord. Software engineering is the discipline of designing, building and maintaining large, reliable, scalable software systems—everything from apps and websites to AI and embedded systems.
No! You’ll learn everything from the ground up, starting in first year with core programming topics.
Computer science focuses more on theory and algorithms. Software engineering focuses on applying those principles to design real, working systems at scale.
