It might come as a shock to some people, but sometimes teenagers and their parents (or caregivers) don’t see eye-to-eye, which might be fine when choosing which Netflix series to binge but can be tricky when discussing something as important as study and career choices.

Getting professional advice and information based on future student’s interests, strengths and ambitions is the best way to resolve the tensions that sometimes arise and ensure all options are considered. That’s where a face-to-face appointment with one of our friendly Student Advisers comes in.

Anyone can book an appointment at any age.

We recommend booking a 1-on-1 as early as Year 10 to get some advice on career direction to help with Year 11 and 12 subject selection.

In Years 11 or 12, you may have questions about Year 12 results and uni offers, you may want to find out more about facilities and services, or simply get a better understanding of the support that Flinders offers new students.

Adults may want to understand their university pathway options or how to go about changing career.
