Visiting scholars

Flinders Law is keen to support domestic and international collaboration and create partnerships with visiting academics in Law and Socio-Legal Studies. Academics from outside Australia who are planning to take sabbatical leave are invited to apply for the honorary position of Visiting Scholar.

Flinders Law can provide office accommodation at the main campus at Bedford Park or in the Adelaide CBD, arrange membership of the library and provide relevant resources, such as a computer, email and telephone access.

Where visitors are engaged in collaborative research with members of Flinders Law, they may also be eligible for financial support to cover airfares and/or other research-related costs.

Visiting Scholars will be expected to take part in Flinders Law research activities, give a research seminar to staff and postgraduate students and acknowledge Flinders University in any publications that result from their time with us.

Where Scholars have the equivalent of Australian full Professorial status at their home institution, they will be granted Visiting Professor status.
