Academic merit
The Northrop Grumman Scholarship was established in 2018. The scholarship recognises and supports students enrolled in either the Bachelor of Information Technology (Games Development), or the Bachelor of Computer Science (Artificial Intelligence) or the Bachelor of Computer Science (Artificial Intelligence) (Honours), and to encourage the recipients to consider a career in Defence.
The scholarship has been established through the generous support of Northrop Grumman. The number of scholarships available will be subject to the ongoing support of the sponsor.
Applicants for the scholarship must:
Students who are enrolled part-time as a result of exceptional circumstances will be considered. Exceptional circumstances may include (but is not limited to) disability, illness or carer responsibilities. Pro-rata benefits will be paid in these instances.
The scholarship will be awarded on the basis of academic merit and demonstrated interest in pursuing a career in Computer Science.
Academic merit will be determined by the ATAR (after the addition of any bonus points) or equivalent score used to gain entry into the course.
Scholarship selection will be made by a committee comprising representatives from the College of Science and Engineering and in accordance with approved procedures.
Preference will be given to students commencing the first year of their degree.
