Eligibility
To be considered, applicants must:
- be of Australian Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent; and
- identify as an Australian Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander; and
- be accepted as an Australian Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander by the community in which they live or have lived; and
- be making satisfactory academic progress; and
- normally be enrolled in an undergraduate or postgraduate coursework degree at Flinders University specialising in Indigenous Archaeology or Cultural Heritage Management.
Preference will be given to students who have already completed one year of full-time tertiary study or equivalent.
Selection Criteria
The scholarship will be awarded based on
- academic merit; and
- the extent to which the scholarship will assist the student’s education
Priority will be given to applicants who are interested in pursuing a doctoral program in Indigenous Archaeology. However, this is not required, and all eligible students are encouraged to apply.
