Dr Sharyn Goudie is a Research Fellow in the College of Human Sciences and Culture. She has a PhD in Sociology, Criminology and Gender Studies, as well as a Masters' in Public Administration. Before entering academia, Sharyn spent fifteen years working in the not-for-profit sector working with young people and individuals experiencing homelessness and mental ill-health. Sharyn's work is particularly focused on the intersection of social policy and vulnerable parties. Her academic research has included examining the impact of drug markets on communities and individuals, including contributing to a pilot project looking into regional methamphetamine markets, strengthening the domestic and family violence workforce, and advancing a home centred approach to out-of-home care.
