Dr Maglaya teaches marketing, management, and academic English for the Pre-Master Business programme. He served as Director of English at Raffles International Institute Mongolia under Raffles Education Singapore for four years. Funded by the European Union, he was appointed as a visiting professor at the University of Finance and Economics, Mongolia. In the Philippines, he was a university dean and worked for the Department of Education as a division Chief, where he led the design and facilitation of significant training programmes for teachers and school heads. Hence, in 2018, he was awarded by the Philippine Normal University for outstanding achievement in educational leadership. In 2020, he presented his research on drama in oral communication at the University of Oxford and the University of Adelaide in 2023. At present, he continues his mission to empower learners and leaders to become effective communicators by being confident, authentic, and purposeful.
