Larissa Taylor works in Aboriginal health education, supporting the integration of cultural safety and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health perspectives within health professional programs. Her work focuses on preparing future clinicians to deliver culturally safe care and to better understand the historical and social contexts that shape health outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. She contributes to curriculum development, teaching and program design across multiple areas of health education and works closely with colleagues to strengthen the inclusion of Aboriginal health learning across the student journey.
Larissa is particularly interested in creating learning environments that encourage reflection, respectful dialogue and critical thinking around health equity and culturally responsive care. Her work is grounded in the importance of community relationships, cultural integrity,truth telling and the ongoing development of culturally safe health education.
