Key responsibilities
- Provide technical services and support to staff, particularly in relation to online learning.
- Participate in the planning of ICT related projects, particularly in relation to online learning, and make significant contributions to project implementation and evaluation.
- Support academic staff at multiple sites to fully utilize a range of appropriate interactive information and communication technologies.
- Create innovative web based educational resources (multimedia, graphics, text, animations, and interactions).
- Provide timely and effective advice and support to staff and students, including writing technical specifications and user guides and identifying user training needs.
- Provide training for staff, including advice on design and presentation, with a particular focus on FLO (Flinders Learning Online).
- Maintain an up-to-date working knowledge of relevant legislation and associated policies and procedures and be able to advise staff on relevant matters.
- Maintain a good working knowledge of, and the ability to respond to, the existing and emerging web technology needs of staff and students.
