Benjamin Laird is a Research Associate in Software Engineering for Cultural Data working with the AusStage live performance database as part of the Australian Research Data Commons supported Australian Creative Histories and Futures project. He has two decades of experience in software engineering, working in startups, agencies, a museum and an international energy retailer.

His creative practice research is in electronic literature and speculative computing. He is specifically interested in the intersection of poetry with other forms and media.
