Flinders University (Flinders) and Executive Counselling & Training Academy (ECTA) are delighted to announce our exclusive partnership programs.
This partnership will allow students to enrol in a Flinders Counselling program in Singapore, delivered by Flinders and ECTA in partnership.
Both Flinders and ECTA are passionate about offering counselling programs to fulfilling the learning needs of future professional counsellors. This course is suited to new allied health graduates and health professionals who are committed to ongoing professional development and personal growth using accountable evidence-based treatments and practice principles.
Flinders, in partnership with ECTA, offers the Graduate Certificate in Counselling and the Graduate Diploma in Counselling as a pathway to the Master of Counselling. The three programs constitute an accredited nested suite of courses with different exit points.
The Master of Counselling refines skills in professional counselling. The course is designed to advance counselling and research skills of people currently employed or interested in employment in one of the human services sectors (i.e., education, mental health, health, community, justice, and welfare sectors).
Graduates of the program would be eligible to register as professional counsellors in Singapore.
The course is available part-time or full-time formats.
This program is only available in Singapore.
Upon successful completion you will gain 6 months credit toward the Graduate Diploma in Counselling.
Course duration: 7 months part-time*
Upon successful completion of the Graduate Certificate and Graduate Diploma you will gain 1 year credit toward the Master of Counselling.

Graduates may work in a range of professional settings, including community and mental health, private practice, social work, grief counselling, pastoral care, and mediation.
The Master of Counselling is accredited with the Australian Counselling Association (ACA). Current students can apply for student membership.
Upon graduation you are eligible to apply for provisional membership and on completion of post-qualifying supervisory practice requirements as set out by ACA can apply for full membership.
This course is only available in Singapore to Singapore citizens, Singapore permanent residents, holders of a valid Singapore dependant’s pass, and holders of a valid Singapore work permit.
