Meet Baxter, the Flinders Robot
Baxter is a demonstration and training robot for Flinders University students and South Australia industries.
Designed by Rethink Robotics, a world-leading technology company founded by Flinders University graduate Professor Rodney Brooks, these robots are designed to be programmed to work safely next to people in factories without the need for barriers or metal cages.

20-week industry placement
As an undergraduate you'll undertake a nationally recognised 20-week industry placement in your third year. Masters students have an opportunity to undertake a 12-week placement.

Culture of collaboration
Flinders is the first university to establish a campus at Tonsley, Australia’s first innovation district.
With more than 150 staff and 2,000 students, this world-class $120 million facility is where students, researchers and industry collaborate to shape the things to come.
Tonsley is our teaching hub for computer science, engineering and mathematics, and features 28 specialist laboratories including:
