I want to be a successful engineer, reputed, and recognised all around the world.
The values the drive me are faith, unity, integrity, diligence, and discipline. For my motivation and inspiration, I believe that such life values are fundamentals for an immaculate and seamless growth.
It is a privilege for me and a boon to my life to receive such an incredible Flinders VC Scholarship from the prestigious Flinders University. With no doubts, this scholarship enables me to utilise my impressive interpersonal and intellectual skills in an extensive platform. Opportunities derived from the scholarship are boundless and extremely lucrative for a rapid and significant career growth. While developing new relations and bridges of communication in Australia, I will also be able to expand my approach to the world.
I want to study in Australia because of its very remarkable, well-known and optimal platform of education for international students. Australia is the place that is perfectly aligned with me and my values. It is a land of opportunities and diversification where your growth can surge exceedingly and unexpectedly.
When I arrive in Adelaide, I want to discover the rich cultural diversification, particularly, at my university. The exploration about new cultures piques my interest in knowing others. Also, the limitless opportunities are what I am keen to claim along with the sightseeing of some incredible spots once I reach Adelaide.
Another optimal privilege for me would be to meet the Flinders University’s team, staff, mentors and students face-to-face as soon as I arrive in Adelaide.
Currently, Electronics ENGR1201 from my course, is one of my favourite topics. It was rewarding to receive a Practical Kit from Flinders at my home country which consist of Flinduino board and Arduino sensor Kit.
These both are spectacular and extremely advanced. I can use multiple sensors on the Arduino kit e.g. Light, buzzer, LED, sound, temperature and even air pressure and acceleration sensors. My topic requires me to perform some several specific tasks on board, but I am allowed and always enthusiastic to program and carry out new practical and experiments on my board. It was unexpected and unbelievable to adapt such electronics and programming skills in the very first semester of my university. Thanks to Flinders and its hardworking staff for such extraordinary and excellent opportunities.
In my culture, we have many rich and interesting festivals that we celebrate each year i.e. Diwali and Holi.
During Diwali, people dress up in their best clothing, decorate their homes with diyas (oil lamps) and rangoli (a beautiful artwork created on floor using colourful powder), perform worships, ignite fireworks, share sweets and give presents to friends and families.
Similarly, like Diwali, other festivals in my culture are also fascinating and engaging, I’d love to share with other students in Australia.
My favourite book is Forty Rules of Love written by Turkish author, Elif Shafak. This book enforces that one should spread love to avoid being a brute and fill the heart with love to become a kind-hearted human.
The book encourages us to incorporate love into our thoughts and actions, and claims that the brilliance of a human being revolves around love, which leads to achievement in various areas.
Two of my favourite quotes that motivate me are “Aspire to Inspire before you Expire!” by Eugene Bell Jr. and ‘Do your best and forget the rest’ by Tony Horton.
