Allen Bolaffi was a well-known and highly respected businessman in South Australia who had a wide range of personal interests and commitments to business and charitable endeavours, both in Australia and Israel.
A leading figure in the Jewish Community, Allen served as President of the Australia-Israel Chamber of Commerce (SA) for 20 years.
Amongst his various Board roles, he was a Director of Arrowcrest Limited, Medvet Limited and Flinders New Venture Institute. He was also a Patron of the Freemasons Foundation Centre for Men’s Health.
His contribution to, enthusiastic support of, and investment in new innovative and often disruptive start-up enterprises was a defining aspect of his activity in the business community within Adelaide and beyond.
Flinders University established the Allen Bolaffi Future Fund to honour his life and his contributions to business and the community.
With the blessing of Allen’s wife and children, the Fund will support innovative research by Flinders University in partnership with the University of Haifa, both of which have world class programs in maritime archaeology.
The project will employ cutting edge technology to unlock the significance of ancient underwater cultural sites in Israel. Flinders is pleased to support this project with matching research funds.
