On Friday 8 April 2022 President and Vice-Chancellor, Professor Colin Stirling, hosted an event to highlight the impact of giving to education and research at Flinders University.
The afternoon tea at Alere Function Centre was a unique opportunity for donors to meet with students and researchers who have benefitted from their philanthropic support.
Guests heard from Arvind, a student who received the Matthew Flinders Scholarship during a time of need, and were moved by words from Ann - the mother of Marcus who was supported by Professor Robyn Young's early-intervention autism research at Flinders.
The event concluded with Associate Professor Simone Tur giving a tour of the newly developed Yunggorendi Inparrila gathering space, which was supported by the Shirley Matthews bequest.
Read some of these stories and more in this year's Impact of Giving report.
