Placement facilitators roles are designed to facilitate partnership with organisations and other key stakeholders to explore opportunities to develop and implement student placement models and strategies.

Facilitators also contribute to a range of resources that support allied health services to sustain the ongoing development of an allied health workforce capable of providing quality services to people with a disability in a market-style environment.

The placement facilitator will initially be involved in engaging with participants to understand the services provided, the placement educators’ roles and student involvement in the workplaces.

The placement facilitator will collaborate with the key stakeholders to:

• identify barriers and facilitators
• to establish communication and support processes; and
• to develop a range of resources to facilitate students’ ability to participate in NDIS funded services in the future.

It is acknowledged that not all services are the same and that the roles, models, strategies and resource development will evolve as part of the processes in this project.
