BetterU is the central digital hub for student wellbeing at Flinders, run by a collaborative team of staff and students. We're here to connect you with the practical "how-to" guides, evidence-based tools, events and real-life stories you need to look after your body, mind, spirit and community. Because our content is co-designed with students (through volunteering and placements) and our partners, you'll find a mix of clinical expertise and peer wisdom in everything we do. Whether we're sharing a tip for study stress or helping you find your way to services like Health, Counselling and Disability Services or Oasis, our goal is to make sure you have the support and connection to navigate uni life with confidence.
Better U was created to bring every student wellbeing initiative at Flinders into one easy-to-find spot. It grew out of the work of the Wellbeing Working Group (WWG), a team dedicated to making sure you have the right support to thrive while you're here.
To make this happen, we built on a trusted foundation: the Student Health and Wellbeing Blog, which has been sharing mental health and life tips with the community since 2017. Today, the site is your showcase for everything happening across campus, from workshops at Oasis to clinical services and self-help guides. We've now brought students directly into that process, with content co-designed by peer voices to ensure BetterU stays a living, relatable reflection of your life at uni.
