On Thursday 7 March 2019 an Alumni Awards Ceremony was held in the Mortlock Chamber of the State Library of South Australia, to formally present the 2018 Flinders University Alumni Award recipients with their awards in the presence of family, friends and fellow graduates.
Recognising outstanding community contributions through their leadership, knowledge advancement, professional practice and community service, Convocation Medallists included Dr Garry Karner and Professor Karen Reynolds.
Distinguished Alumni Awardees whose contributions have benefitted Flinders University and the wider community through humanitarian services, professional achievement and significant roles include Dr Richard Harris SC OAM (absent), Jose Apollo Pacamalan, Dr Jennifer Baker, Associate Professor Anne Johnson, Tina Karanastasis, Air Vice-Marshall Dr Tracy Smart AM, Dr Duncan Taylor and Professor Brett Bowden.
