On Tuesday, 13 November 2018 Flinders University celebrated 40 years of nursing graduates. The event brought past students and educators back to Sturt campus for an event that reflected on the dynamic changes of the past four decades, and shared advances that are shaping nursing today. The event featured Flinders’ first head of nursing, Dr Joan Durdin AM, a nurse, an educator and an historian who went on to lead the college for several years and is renowned for spearheading changes to nursing at a transformative time.
