What can you expect from the English program?
This full-time course includes 20 hours of face-to-face instruction per week.
In the Reading and Writing component of the course, students develop their reading comprehension skills and learn to utilise information presented in written texts within their writing, an essential skill for success at university.
In the Listening and Communication component of the course, students improve their listening comprehension in contexts likely to be encountered in a university setting as well as in everyday life. Communication activities are also linked to listening activities so that students can respond to what they have heard and learn invaluable skills for communicating effectively with others.
Support and elective classes provide students with further opportunity to accelerate their learning and focus on skill areas that they would like to improve. These classes can provide tailored English language content and activities to prepare students for the field of study in their destination degree.
